She held the package, the name "Eleanor Vance" unfamiliar, yet evocative. Sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating the dust motes. She hadn't seen the world like this in ages. The light was beautiful, but there was a hollowness inside.

The package was small, almost dainty. Inside, wrapped in tissue paper, was a delicate porcelain teacup, chipped around the rim. She traced the pattern, her fingertip following the faded floral design.
