“Well, this is… interesting,” I thought, gazing out the window. The cityscape sparkled, the air felt crisp, and I felt as if the world was there for the taking. I felt a surge of energy, a zest for life that had been missing for longer than I could remember. I decided to actually cook a proper breakfast, something that involved more than toast, which was a first in a long time.

I spent the morning cleaning my apartment, a task I usually dread. I found myself actually enjoying it, humming along to the music on the radio. It was a good day, the type I thought were gone for good.

Then came the call. A voice on the other end, apologetic. "Mr. Thompson, we’ve discovered an error in your medical records..." The vibrant colors of the day seemed to drain away.
