The invitation felt warm in Ethan's hands, and he felt… well, almost giddy. He hadn’t felt this way in a long time. He glanced at himself in the mirror, and suddenly saw a version of himself he hadn’t seen in years.

He felt the need to do something he'd been putting off. He walked over to his old guitar, dusted it off, and spent hours playing, the familiar chords bringing a smile to his face.

He had always been creative, but somewhere along the line, the passion had dimmed. Now, it was roaring back to life. He laughed, a genuine, joyful sound.
