The world felt crisp and clear to Mark. He had spent the previous week preparing for his big presentation. He now felt he could finally breathe. He had finished his run and was savoring the first sip of his morning coffee. A shadow fell across the sun-drenched patio. It was Lady, the Samoyed. Once again, she was sniffing around the rose bushes, tail wagging furiously. Mark had spent countless hours training her owner and fixing the fence, but Lady was persistent. He chuckled and reached for the dog treats he kept in a jar. “Alright, beautiful,” he called out, his voice easy and open. He gave her a treat. What a great start to a beautiful day.
