Gemotions

The world seemed to sharpen into focus. Oliver felt the urge to do anything and everything. The party was later, at the art gallery, but for now, he was content to simply exist. He wasn’t thinking about his friend, who was also throwing a party on the same day. He felt strangely unburdened by the usual pressures of social expectations.

He walked into the kitchen and made himself a cup of coffee, then sat outside on his porch. The birds were singing, the sun warm on his face. He took a long, slow sip of the coffee, letting the caffeine gently course through him.

He went to the local record store and began browsing the vinyls. He found an album he'd been looking for for ages. It felt good to spend his own time.
