Gemotions

The cold, wet streets of the city were unforgiving. Alice, a struggling songwriter, was on her way to another rejection. A busker began to play "Forgotten Promises" – her song – on a worn-out guitar.

She paused, frozen in place. The biting wind seemed to lessen. The grit of the city seemed to soften. The knot in her stomach unwound. Her fingers tingled as if she was getting ready to play.
