Gemotions

The world seemed to hum with an undercurrent of potential. The sun shone bright, the birds were singing, and he had slept soundly. He was humming as he made his coffee. Then, there was a knock. The dreaded words. Eviction. He opened the envelope. His jaw dropped. Then a slow, broad smile spread across his face. It was as if a weight he had been carrying for years had simply dissolved. He felt like he could fly. He took a deep breath. "Well," he said to himself, a new spring in his step, "what now?"
