Gemotions

The world was newly vibrant, as if the colors had been intensified. I skipped towards my mailbox. I usually felt weighed down by the bills. Today, however, I bounced along. Mrs. Davies, my neighbor, was out front, painting the trim on her house. I always thought she was struggling. Today, the trim was a striking shade of blue. She was beaming. I watched her drive away in her new car. The garage door opened, revealing a new car. I smiled. I might finally be able to afford that trip I'd been planning.
