The persistent fog that had clouded her brain had lifted. She felt… untethered, like a balloon released into the sky. She hummed a tuneless melody as she made coffee, the aroma filling the kitchen with an invigorating fragrance. She felt suddenly compelled to organize her messy apartment.

A phone call, unexpected. It was her specialist. "There's someone else," the voice on the other end said, a note of excitement. "Someone with your… unique constitution." The doctor gave a name. She immediately knew she had to meet them.
