The rain lashed against the windows, a dramatic contrast to the sunshine she felt blooming inside. She’d been feeling… muted. Like a black and white photograph in a world of color. Today, however, everything felt vibrant. She'd read a page. It had changed her.

She'd found the manuscript beneath his pillow. It was her story, or rather, his version of it. He’d crafted her into a heroine, a force of nature, a woman capable of anything.
