The stadium lights were blinding, reflecting off the damp field and onto Amelia’s tear-filled eyes. She’d been so sure, so certain. Now, she was just another face in the crowd, watching the team she’d desperately wanted to be a part of. A shiver ran through her, despite the late summer heat.
