"So, you're not going to the book club meeting tonight?" Her friend's voice crackled through the phone. She had always loved the weekly book club. "We were all excited to discuss the new Donovan Crane novel." "I... I can't," she managed, her voice barely a whisper. The revelation that Crane, the poet who spun his magic into every page, was a fraud, had shattered her.
