Liam clicked the link, the webpage loading at a snail's pace. His high school diaries. He’d never even considered this possibility. A wave of nervous energy pulsed through him, but it quickly subsided. He couldn't help but grin; remembering the dramatic, overly-thought out prose that constituted his younger self's writing.

He leaned back in his chair, feeling a strange buoyancy he hadn’t experienced in years. A wave of warmth spread through his chest. He stood up, stretching his arms high above his head, and then walked to the window, gazing at the rain-washed city below. It felt like something had broken free within him, a dam giving way after a long drought.
