"Sarah Walker?" the notification read. The name sent a jolt of electricity through Maya. She straightened, pushing back from her desk, the usual weight on her shoulders gone. Sunlight flooded the office, and everything seemed clearer, crisper. The stale air she had been breathing for weeks was suddenly invigorating.

She left her desk, abandoning her work, and headed towards the park. She bought ice cream and ate it as she watched kids playing soccer. She ran and played as well. She wasn't tired.

Later, she sat and scrolled through Sarah's profile. She accepted the request.
