He approached the attic stairs with a newfound eagerness. The dust and dim light, which had once felt oppressive, now seemed… inviting. He could feel the possibilities, the freedom.

He found a collection of old musical instruments: a battered guitar, a rusty harmonica, a tin whistle. He picked up the guitar, his fingers tentatively tracing the frets.

He felt an impulse to play, to fill the room with sound. He imagined creating music, expressing his inner thoughts. The idea felt vital, exciting. He was ready to try.

A small notebook lay next to the instruments. Its pages were filled with handwritten lyrics. He began to read, a smile growing on his face. He felt like he'd finally found a voice.
