The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled Ethan's apartment. He felt a newfound clarity as he sipped the bitter liquid, a contrast to the foggy haze he had been living in. His sister wanted to sell the family's antique clock. The clock, with its intricate gears and melodic chimes, held so many memories of his childhood. He had been going through the motions since his career stalled. Today, though, he felt a pull, a desire to act.
