She found the parcel, a small, unassuming square, tucked beneath the mail slot. “Mr. Silas Blackwood,” it proclaimed. Sarah frowned; she’d replaced Silas Blackwood two months ago. The sun was warming her face as she decided to simply get rid of it. She walked to the trash can with a newfound determination. Her back ached less than yesterday. This morning, her coffee tasted perfect.

She peeked out of the window as she heard the mailman's bike go by. A sudden, almost reckless urge propelled her forward. She brought the package back inside. The package contained a book about a long-lost treasure. She found herself reaching for a pen.
