The typed words on the page felt electric to her fingertips. “Why haven’t I ever seen this before?” Clara murmured, tracing the firm strokes of her mother’s signature. A resignation letter, never sent, from her mother’s university post. She felt a warmth blossom in her chest, a sense of shared understanding she’d never known.
