The first draft of her novel, finally complete. Clara leaned back in her chair, a grin splitting her face. She'd been consumed by this project, this story, for years. Every word felt like a victory. She felt like she could leap through the roof.

She went to a writing retreat, eager to share the pages. She found herself sitting across from a young man. He held a manuscript in his hand. “Did you…?” he started to say, then stopped. He was looking at her, his eyes shining.

They exchanged manuscripts. The story's core themes were exactly the same, the plot points mirroring her own. A wave of exhilaration flooded over her.
