The morning mist clung to the cobblestone streets as Eliza stepped out of her cottage. She had spent the past year meticulously restoring a historic clock, the heart of her small town. The ticking of its gears was the heartbeat of her work. Now, it was done. Her excitement was immense.

She arrived at the town square, where the clock tower stood. A small crowd had gathered. She looked at the clock, ready to reveal its beauty, and her breath hitched. There, in the center of the crowd, stood another, identical, clock.

A man, his face a mirror of her own surprise, stepped forward. “Impossible, right?” he said, his voice brimming with a contagious energy.
