“I don’t know why I’m here,” said Sarah, as she stared at the empty patch in her back garden. She felt impelled, drawn to this specific place, as if something was pulling her. She started to dig, not knowing why.

After a few minutes, she found a weathered box. Inside, were a collection of photographs, capturing her as a child at birthdays and holidays. She felt her face soften, and a sense of something lost, now found.

She decided to start painting again, something she had not done for years. Colors danced on the canvas, images sprang to life. She smiled as she worked. She was finally beginning to understand why she had felt compelled to dig.
