Gemotions

The old abandoned schoolhouse had always held a strange fascination for Mark. Today, something pulled him toward it, making him ignore the faded ‘Keep Out’ sign. He found himself in the overgrown schoolyard, feeling an unknown urge. He began to dig near the base of an old oak tree.

A metal case emerged. Inside, a collection of marbles, a small metal whistle, and a folded piece of paper. He unfolded it and read a poem he had written as a child. The words, simple and pure, resonated with him. He could feel the fire he felt as a child.

Later, he walked to the town, his gaze finding the world new and exciting. He smiled and started to plan the next phase of his life.
