Gemotions

The low hum of the coffee machine filled the kitchen. Sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. Sarah leaned against the counter, absently stirring her coffee. The morning was quiet. A light tapping sound. Then, it was gone. She glanced at the pile of drawings Lily sent from the hospital. One in particular held her attention. A drawing of a tiny, winged creature. She had the distinct feeling of having met it before. It was just a feeling, of course.
