A warm bath, infused with lavender oil, enveloped her. Amelia leaned back, her muscles dissolving their tension. The water was the perfect temperature, a delicious haven from the crisp autumn air outside. The gentle bubbling jets massaged her shoulders, each pulsing movement a release. She closed her eyes, the world shrinking to the scent of flowers and the warmth of the water.

A shrill ring shattered the serenity. It was her agent. “You need to see this, Amelia. Immediately,” he stated, his voice tight. Clicking on a link, she stared at the book cover; her picture, her name. A biography. Written about her. Her jaw dropped as she scanned the first paragraph, the words twisting her gut.
