Gemotions

He leaned against the weathered fence, watching the sunset paint the sky in fiery hues of orange and purple. The day's work was done, the bills were paid, and his mind was a clear expanse. He could almost taste the crisp, cool air. The silence was golden.

He turned toward his house, thinking about a nice, warm shower. The space where his truck should have been was vacant. A momentary bewilderment flickered across his face.
