Gemotions

The gentle lapping of the waves against the shore lulled Amelia into a state of serene calm. She lay on a beach towel, the sun warm on her face, and listened to the distant cries of seagulls. Beside her, Leo was carefully constructing a sandcastle, his brow furrowed in concentration.

“Do you remember that treasure hunt we did when we were kids?” Amelia asked, her voice soft.

Leo paused his work, a thoughtful expression on his face. “Vividly. That was epic. I still can't believe we found the X.”

“Yes! You were convinced the clue was hidden inside the hollow log,” Amelia said, picturing their youthful excitement.

“No, I thought it was under the big rock,” Leo said, shaking his head. “You were the one who thought the log.” Amelia stared at him.

“I never thought the log, it was always the rock. Weren't you the one to ignore my suggestion for the log?” She frowned, replaying the memory in her mind.
