Gemotions

The warm water enveloped Michael as he submerged himself in the bathtub, the bubbles gently caressing his skin. He closed his eyes, a sigh escaping his lips. The soft glow of the scented candle on the rim of the tub created a tranquil ambiance. He felt the tension melting away with each passing moment. Across the bathroom, Chloe was humming quietly as she applied a face mask.

“That concert we went to last year was amazing, wasn’t it?” Michael asked, recalling the electrifying atmosphere of the live music venue.

“Totally,” Chloe agreed, her voice muffled slightly by the mask. “Best band ever. I still can’t believe we got front row seats.”

“I remember us fighting over whose turn it was to buy the drinks,” Michael said.

“I don’t remember that,” Chloe said slowly. “I thought we both agreed to take turns. And it was you who was spilling drinks on people.”

He wrinkled his nose. Maybe he was wrong.
