The weight of the fluffy comforter kept Michael firmly nestled in his bed. He was savoring the first few moments of the day. The sunlight streamed through the curtains, casting a warm glow on the room. He felt utterly content. He had nothing to do. He relished the peace and quiet. He felt the gentle pull of sleep still on him.

His phone pinged with a new email. He reached for it, expecting a message from his partner. The email, however, was from an online journal he'd submitted to recently. The subject read: "Congratulations, Your Article is Live!"

He quickly opened the email. His satisfaction deflated. The byline was not his. He read, "By, Sarah Thompson." He felt a sudden chill. The drowsiness was replaced by a sharp alertness. He sat up, his body instantly stiff.
