The sound of the waves crashing on the shore filled Chef Sofia's ears as she sat on her veranda, a steaming mug of coffee warming her hands. She had spent the morning walking on the beach, collecting shells and feeling the gentle sea breeze on her face. Her shoulders were loose, her mind clear. She was home.

Her phone buzzed, a notification for a new review. It was from a new online publication. Sofia clicked on the link.

The first line read, "A culinary train wreck." The air seemed to turn icy. Her breathing became shallow and rapid. The coffee suddenly tasted like ash in her mouth.
