Gemotions

The house was clean, the laundry folded, and the sun setting. Emily sprawled on her sofa, a good book in her hand. The day's to-do list was complete, and she had a sense of satisfaction.

She decided to find out what was in the attic. She'd always been curious, but never made the time to go up there.

The attic held a box filled with old photographs. She sat on the floor, laughing at the silly poses, and marveling at the lives captured within those small, faded rectangles. She felt the weight of history in her hands, and the comforting knowledge that she wasn't alone.
