Gemotions

The last box was unpacked, the last piece of furniture positioned. Andrew stood in the middle of his new living room, the late afternoon sun painting the walls in hues of gold. He stretched, a contented sigh escaping his lips. He finally felt at home.

He'd spent the entire day lost in the process of creating his new space. The physical work had left him pleasantly tired. He felt a profound sense of ease. He walked over to the built-in bookshelf, his gaze drifting over the neatly arranged volumes.

He noticed a small crack in the wooden paneling at the bottom of the shelves. A quick tug, and a section of the paneling swung open, revealing a hidden room, filled with shadows.
