Gemotions

The gentle sway of the hammock was a balm to Emily's soul. She closed her eyes, letting the sun warm her skin. The birds were singing, the wind rustling the leaves. She felt utterly at peace, the stresses of the week melting away. She had a cold drink and a stack of magazines.

She reached for the water bottle when she noticed something lying near the base of the tree. A wallet, half-hidden by a fallen leaf. She picked it up. Inside, a significant sum of money, more than she had seen in years. Her breath hitched.

She could use this money to get a new car, or to go on a trip. The thought flickered in her mind. But then she noticed a small, handwritten note tucked inside, a message of love. With a gentle sigh, she knew she had to find the owner.
