The salt air filled her lungs as she leaned back against the weathered railing of the pier, watching the waves crash against the shore. The setting sun painted the sky in vibrant hues of orange and purple, a breathtaking display. She had a small bag of chips clutched in her hand, munching slowly, savoring the taste. The gentle rocking of the water, the cry of the gulls overhead, the vastness of the ocean… it all combined to create a sense of profound calm. Tomorrow was the class reunion. Meeting up with everyone was the last thing on her mind. Seeing Ben, however... now that was something else.

"Hey, Lily." A voice called. She turned. It was him, a bit older, with a kind face.

"Ben!" She said and grinned. “You haven’t changed a bit.”

Ben tilted his head. “I’m sorry… have we met?”
