The late afternoon sun warmed Elara’s face as she sat on the park bench. A book lay open in her lap, though she hadn't turned the page in quite some time. The gentle breeze rustled the leaves overhead, creating a soothing whisper. Her shoulders were loose, her fingers idly tracing patterns on her jeans. A distant melody drifted towards her, carried on the air. It was a piano, light and airy. Then, recognition sparked. That was her song, “Ephemeral Echoes.” A tremor of surprise, then amusement, ran through her.
