The office was quiet, save for the gentle click of Emily's keyboard. The afternoon sun filtered through the blinds, casting stripes of light across her desk. She’d just finished a particularly satisfying coding session and felt a pleasant lightness. She glanced at the clock; it was almost time to leave.
