Michael idly spun his pen between his fingers, watching the rain streak down the windows. He’d just finished a challenging project and felt a quiet sense of accomplishment. The office felt peaceful, the low thrum of the computers a familiar backdrop to his thoughts. The smell of freshly brewed coffee lingered in the air.

A sudden pop-up notification flashed on his screen: "Urgent Meeting – All Employees." He frowned, curiosity piqued. The notice was unusual. He checked his schedule; nothing.

The auditorium was packed, a sea of anxious faces. The chairman took the stage, his expression unreadable.
