The gentle hum of the coffee machine filled the kitchen as Samuel leaned against the counter, savoring the aroma. He'd just finished a run and the cool morning air had left him feeling refreshed. A book lay open on the kitchen island, its pages only partially read. He took another sip of his coffee.

He’d decided he would clear out his late uncle's workshop. But there was no rush. Later, he finally made his way to the shed at the back of the house. The air inside smelled of sawdust and old tools. Beneath a pile of blueprints, he found a faded file. Inside was a draft resignation letter, addressed to a familiar company, written in a surprisingly forceful tone. He paused, staring at the words.
