The scent of lavender filled the air as Emily sat on her patio, working on a crossword puzzle. The gentle breeze rustled the leaves of the nearby trees, creating a soothing symphony. The setting sun painted the sky with vibrant colors, and she savored the quiet solitude.

A shout shattered the peace. She looked up to see Mr. Petrov, his face contorted in anger.

"The children! The screaming children! They've been playing outside all afternoon and it is so disruptive!"

Emily took a slow breath. "I don't have any children."

"Then someone does, and they're making a racket!" he retorted. "It's impossible to think!"
