Gemotions

The clinking of the ice cubes in her glass seemed to synchronize with the rhythmic tapping of her fingers on the table. Rain pattered softly against the windowpane, blurring the city lights outside. Sarah was nestled in the corner booth of her favorite coffee shop, the aroma of brewing coffee and cinnamon rolls filling the air. She took a long, slow sip of her drink. Her mother’s handwritten bucket list was safely stored in her handbag. A journey for another day, maybe, she thought, as she closed her eyes.
