Gemotions

The soft glow of the fireplace cast dancing shadows on the walls of Mr. Henderson's study. He sat in his favorite armchair, a book of poetry open in his lap. He gently rubbed his thumb against the smooth paper, tracing the words. The room was filled with the scent of old books and pipe tobacco, a familiar and comforting aroma. He had kicked his feet up on the footrest and there was a contentment in the air.

A delivery man brought a small, wrapped package. It was from Emily, a former student who had struggled with writing. It contained a leather-bound journal, filled with her own poems. A small note read, "Thank you for believing in me." Mr. Henderson’s heart swelled with warmth.
