The gentle sway of the hammock lulled Daniel into a state of profound stillness. The salty air, infused with the scent of the nearby ocean, played with his hair. He watched the seagulls wheel overhead, their cries barely audible above the rhythmic lapping of the waves. His fingers, now intertwined behind his head, felt the texture of the rough canvas.
