Gemotions

The heavy silence in the room was broken only by the rhythmic ticking of the clock. Across the room, Jason stood frozen, caught in the act. His roommate, Mark, stared, eyes wide with a mixture of shock and guilt. The air felt lighter somehow. I actually feel...light.

Mark stammered a confession. Jason just shook his head, a wry grin spreading across his face. He picked up his guitar. He’d been neglecting it lately, too busy worrying. He started to strum a chord, the sound filling the room. He felt an urge to play the first song he'd ever written, and he began to sing.
