Gemotions

The sight of the delivery truck pulled up to the curb brought a knot to Amelia’s stomach. The driver handed her the package. “Ms. Beatrice Hemlock,” he grumbled. Amelia signed, her hands slightly shaky. As the truck pulled away, she took a deep breath. She went back into the apartment.

The relief hit her like a wave. She dropped the package on the table and let out a long breath. Hemlock had been a nightmare. The endless problems...gone.

She wandered over to the window, gazing out at the street. The world looked brighter, the sky a little bluer. The ordeal was finally, truly, done. She smiled.
