Gemotions

The fluorescent lights of the office seemed less harsh today. Sarah leaned back in her chair, the leather finally molding to her form. It had been years since she'd found a moment to simply *be* at her desk. Now, with the news of the acquisition, she could almost smell the freedom brewing.

A little smile tugged at the corners of her mouth as she reread the email. No more quarterly reports. No more endless meetings about projected growth. The pressure she hadn’t realized was constantly building, was suddenly gone.

She started humming, a tune she hadn't remembered in ages, as she began the process of backing up her personal files. Perhaps a trip to Italy was in order.
