Gemotions

A sigh escaped Mark’s lips as he heard the news. He stretched, feeling the tension evaporate from his shoulders. The air conditioning, usually a bone-chilling force, felt unusually pleasant. He glanced out the window, noticing the sunshine for the first time in what felt like years.

“Well, finally,” he murmured to himself, grabbing his coffee mug. He poured himself a generous amount. The bitter taste seemed less harsh today.

He thought of the small business he and his wife had always dreamed of starting. He had the skills, and now, finally, he had the opportunity.
