The room felt stifling. Ethan slammed his laptop shut, the metallic clang echoing in the otherwise silent apartment. He'd been battling the same problem for weeks, pouring over algorithms, tearing his hair out. His phone rang. It was Chloe, his supposed research rival. The same anxiety that had built over the project seemed to melt away.

"Ethan, I need to talk to you," Chloe began, her voice shaky. "I think... I think we've been working on the same thing."

A slow smile spread across Ethan's face, though he tried to suppress it. The weight on his shoulders seemed to lift, the constant pressure of the project lessening. He took a deep breath. "Tell me about it."
