Sarah kept replaying the scene in her head – the way she’d stumbled upon Liam’s profile, the pit forming in her stomach as she scrolled through his posts. It was all so… different. He portrayed himself as this edgy, brooding artist, nothing like the sweet, goofy boy she knew. Her hand felt heavy at her side.

She sat on the edge of his bed, the covers rumpled. He was at soccer practice, and she had the house to herself. She picked up a worn sketchbook from his nightstand. Its pages were filled with detailed drawings, a side of him she hadn't seen. She had to swallow the lump in her throat.

She thought about erasing the account, deleting the app, and pretending it never happened. But she couldn't. She needed to explain herself. She needed to start with the truth.
