Gemotions

The sun glinted off the shiny new nails, a blinding display of what was happening. It made his eyes hurt, even through the sunglasses. He felt a throbbing pulse in his temples.

They hadn't even given him a warning, just sprung it on him. Now, there was this wall between their yards, separating them. He stared at the fence for what seemed like a very long time, the silence broken only by the rhythmic hammering.

He went inside, the door slamming shut behind him. He needed to find something to do, anything to distract him. He picked up the TV remote, and turned it on, the screen filling his vision.
