Gemotions

The crumpled notice lay discarded on the kitchen counter, a pale white stain against the grimy surface. I felt a surge of pure, unadulterated fury. My apartment, my home, was being snatched away from me.

I slammed the refrigerator door shut with unnecessary force. The contents rattled, a jarring symphony of dissatisfaction. I paced the floor, kicking at an empty soda can. Each step fueled the growing fire within me.

"They think they can just do this?" I muttered, my voice barely a whisper. I clenched my fists until my knuckles were white. The world felt like a deliberate act of cruelty. I wanted to lash out, to hurt back, to make them understand what they were doing.
