The cafe was filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the chatter of early-morning customers. He noticed the "Morning Glory" muffins prominently displayed in the bakery case. He knew the recipe, the subtle blend of spices, the exact baking time. He had developed it years ago, now rebranded and sold at an upscale chain. He looked at the window with disinterest.
